The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the superior variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated here Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The company point produced for intervention encounters a superior inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to permit sassa the servicing of all consumers and boost entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
